Dear Governor Beshear,
We are the voice of small businesses in Kentucky and we respectfully decline any further attempts on the pretext of keeping us safe. We wanted to inform you ahead of any further mandates that we stand on our freedoms granted to us by God, our Constitution, and our state legislature. We also stand together as small business owners in our commitments and responsibilities to provide for our families, care for our neighbors, and keep our covenants with our employees.
We will remain open and will continue to serve our communities in a responsible manner, taking heed to recommendations by various bodies of knowledge. But we will not be forced to minimize, nor close, nor abide by any mandated medical interventions. We will not be bullied, threatened or incentivized to go against our consciences.
The small businesses of Kentucky pledge to stand together against any further dictates. We also ask that you set a good example of following the rule of law upon which this country was founded by respecting the three branches of government. We, the people, have elected fellow Kentuckians to represent us and to pass laws. We request that you call a special session to weigh in on any mandates you may be hoping to initiate.
Your error is to assume unto yourself an absolute authority over the people. This error is formerly known as “the divine right of kings”. The United States is a nation “Under God” in which authority is delegated, not centralized. Authority exists with individuals, churches, and with families and their businesses. The state’s authority is limited by our constitutions and by the Word of God.
According to Romans 13, the magistrate is not autonomous. He is a “minister of God”. The authority of the state is to “punish evil doers and protect the righteous”. This authority is reiterated in our Declaration of Independence from tyrannical governments:
“that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
Your attempts to impose laws not authorized by the state’s legislature is a usurpation of power. We appeal to you to follow God’s job description of the magistrate as laid out in Romans 13 verses 3 and 4.
When the civil government abides in the confines of its job description, the church can function in its role which is to teach the people of the nation the commandments of God (Matthew 28:19), and the family can function in its role which is to care for the needs of its children and guide them in their education (Ephesians 6:4).
We trust that you will repent of your approach to ruling over Kentucky, respect your role as the executive, and allow personal responsibility and freedom to reign once more.

I am signing this because I watched you overstep your authority in the state of Kentucky. In my opinion you are what I consider to be a tyrant. You remind me of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. You are here to govern by the voice of the people. A lawsuit was brought against your overreach, and then and only then did you back off from these dictatorial mandates that you put in place in the state of kentucky. I really don’t even believe that you should be in office. I can’t wait until next year’s elections to vote you out.

I am signing because I support local businesses. The federal government has no business interfering with our local businesses, our education, our medical decisions, our worship or our private lives. The federal government, the pharmaceutical companies and the gov’t funded agencies have aligned themselves with evil and I stand against them with all my might.
I am signing because I’m sick of people’s livelihoods being destroyed by a tyrannical governor!
As the Governor, Beshear does not have the best interest of Kentuckians at heart. He o my cares about power and money. We know if he can keep his emergency executive orders he gets money from the US Government. This is about money not about you or me or our children.
