Education in KY,

Parents are given little insight into what their children are being taught in schools, but Parents have a RIGHT TO KNOW the content and ideologies being exposed to their impressionable kids. With mixed messaging from teacher unions and superintendents about what is/isn’t being taught, it is time for greater transparency. TRANSPARENCY would go a long way toward building a working teacher-parent partnership.

Given the “virtual learning” imposed last year, most teachers formed digital versions of classroom materials already. We simply ask the school board of each school district to require, as part of each teacher’s job, that all classroom materials and lesson plans which CAN be put in a digital format be made available to parents, whether through the school district website or email.

School boards, all members of whom are elected officials on 4 year terms, have the power to make policies governing teacher job requirements. Superintendents have much unofficial power in influencing these decisions as well. Please address our concerns, it is within your power.

School Boards should require Lesson Plan TRANSPARENCY

They’ve gotten away with a lot of indoctrination being taught. A requirement of transparency should be a given.

I am signing because since my son have been in preschool, which was three years ago, I have not had a transparent understanding of what was and is being taught to my child. I agree as parents we have a right to know

I am concerned about what my child is learning in school! CRT, SEL, or any other race based curriculum doesn’t belong in our schools!

Too many teachers and their unions are working to teach what we parents don’t want them to teach, like CRT or indoctrination or teachers belief. I want reading, writing, math, full USA history (founding fathers and what they gave up, slavery both the bad and good that came with their freedom. NOT the WOKE education. not sex transformation such as boy into girl and the other way around,

There should be no hidden agendas being taught to our children by teachers and schools. All curriculum should be made public. Stop trying to indoctrinate our children!

Even in school, I never liked the public school system! We were taught so many things that were not relevant for real life situations . Where was the class that taught about taxes, accounting, and even something as simple, as hanging on to your pay check stubs and statements? Yet, we have to endure ideologies and influence from teachers and curriculum that we may not agree with! Parents should be informed about what their children are learning as well as the teachers providing them an education. I always remember that the school said that parents should be involved in their child’s education, well here we are! Inform and involve us!

Parents are trusting teachers to teach and care for their children. We have the right to know what we are trusting. We should have the freedom to choose to opt out of certain classes that we do not agree with. It is ultimately a parent’s responsibility to raise children. As long as children are not being abused, the schools need to stay out of the parenting role.

Parents deserve the right to know what their children are being taught. The schools are meant to be a place of education and not indoctrination.
