Tell Frankfort NO gas tax increase!

2020 was financially devastating to many. Now, gas prices are on the rise. It seems like the worst time to consider raising the taxes on a necessity like fuel, but the KY State Legislature tried to do just that in 2021. Sal Santoro (R – Union, KY) and several other Representatives filed HB561 to raise Kentucky’s gas tax, and continue to raise it automatically for years to come. Many of these same Representatives have also voted for various bailouts and other wasteful spending bills. Tennessee taxpayers pay about 40% less taxes per capita than Kentuckians, and have good quality roads. Please sign this petition to tell the Kentucky State Legislature to stop trying to take more of our hard earned money with automatically increasing fuel taxes. Tell them to spend our money more wisely instead.
