When we discovered obscene books in our libraries, we alerted the principals, went through the proper appeal process, and even brought them to the attention of our school board. The books remain in the schools. The next step is the SBDM Office and the Office of Education Accountability. Please sign this petition to support the removal of obscene material from k-12 public schools. Our children deserve to have the innocence of their childhood protected, and parents, not the government, have the right to decide if, when, and how certain topics are introduced and discussed with their children. The five books we are focusing on are “Gender Queer”, “All Boys Aren’t Blue”, “It’s Perfectly Normal”, “Fun Home”, and “Lawn Boy”.

It’s not appropriate. Leave our kids alone. Their minds don’t need to be thinking about grown folk business.
Why? Why do kids this age need to be reading about this stuff. Quit trying stuff grown folks business down our kids throats!! Shame on you JCPS!!!!
I do not support this
I have a granddaughter in first grade at Dunn Elementary and I do NOT want her exposed to books and material like this!
Remove the books
Do the right thing remove the books.
This needs to be left at home if people choose this. If they have, “how to follow Jesus” in the library, then I “might” allow for this “religion” as well.
I do not believe that this type of sexual education needs to be taught in school.
No child should have access to this pornography in a public school
My grandkids go to JCPS, I don’t want my kids to receive info from their library. Can JCPS just let kids be kids and let their parents/grandparents take care of them at home, you know how we learned from parents.
