Tyler Murphy is a member of the Fayette County Public School Board. He also sits on the board of the National Education Association (NEA). NEA is the largest teachers union in the country.
We believe this creates an obvious conflict of interest, that needs to be remedied. FCPS has decided to not follow the state statutes in seeking the opinion of the AG on this matter.
We are demanding that Tyler Murphy step down from his position immediately. It should be about the kids, not the unions.

School boards should be doing what is best for kids OVERALL health and well-being, not taking orders from the unions. Being a union board member on the school board is a red-flag conflict of interest.

Tyler doesn’t hear the parents and that’s a problem. He ignores us and makes rules for our children that he doesn’t even follow himself! Remember when he was teaching in person but kept our schools shit down? He has to go.
