The faculty senate is petitioning the university to mandate the covid-19 vaccine for all students, staff and faculty at UK. This is a COUNTER PETITION demanding the right to make our own choice without interference from the faculty senate or university administration. The science on this issue is far from settled. There are sound reasons both to choose the vaccine and NOT to choose it. Mandating a drug for a disease to which many in the UK community are already immune is counter to open discourse, freedom, the spirit of academia, and to the diverse beliefs and opinions of the UK community. Our bodies, our choice.

The vaccine mandate is anti American. This is a free country and we should be allowed to have free choice, a God given freedom, to decide what to put in our bodies. Please look into your heart and do the right thing by stopping the vaccine mandate. Thank you

I believe in Freedom of choice and Health Freedom
Remember, this vaccine is EUA. Comirnaty is not the same as the first vaccines that came out and are still on the market. Manufacturers will try to get rid of EUA stock until it is gone, and act like it is approved like Cormirnaty. Neither have had the safety testing they need—and is necessary—as vaccines. You are forcing people to be injected with preventative medicine which we have no long term studies for and which we do not know what will happen to everyone who takes it 30 years from now.
I believe in the freedom to choose when it comes to an individuals health.
If we do not stop this mandatory masks, vaccines, now boosters, then we will lose everything America was. Citizens can decide if they want this vax or intend to wear a mask. If anything happens to any student that takes this vax because of this. You are guilty, The same with the masks. As an educational outlet you should be demanding we keep our freedoms.
